Hardcore is a gamemode of 2 separate worlds rightly named Hardcore1 (HC1) and Hardcore2 (HC2). They are both set to HARD difficulty. Each person is spawned in a random location within the world. You have one chance to survive and thrive. When you die, you are temporarily banned from that particular hardcore world and everything you have built is automatically rolled back. After your ban period expires, you will be allowed to start again (in another random spawn location). The intent of HC is to be as close to vanilla as possible.
Once inside the world, you cannot set home or teleport in any way. You must make your way around the world the good old fashioned way.. by foot, horse or boat.

Hardcore1
• This is considered to be a peaceful world
• NO PVP allowed (it is also disabled)
• Do NOT raid other player's homes or their items
• You can use LWC to lock/unlock chests to protect your stuff

Hardcore2
• This is a dangerous and wild world!
• PVP is not just allowed, it's encouraged!
• Raiding is also encouraged!
• Nothing in this world is protected, so hide your base and items well!
• Use of traps and other intruder systems are recommended

Most commands wont work in HC. No /sethome, no /tpa requests, no /top or /back. Once in HC, the only commands you can do are /th leave (which you should do to leave and ensure your position and inventory saves correctly), /th list (to see who is in the world with you), and /th info (to see how you are progressing)

Rules for Hardcore
• Hacks, Mods, Cheats, Exploits are not to be used. This includes MiniMaps or any variant that is similar. We have a “zero” tolerance policy on anyone that breaks these rules.
• Using Alt Accounts is no longer allowed. If you have a sibling, parent, child etc, that also plays Hardcore, then you will need to raise a /ticket in-game explaining who and why.
• Player Vaults/Banks or any variation to that, which saves/stores your collected resources in the event of death, is not allowed. The idea of HC is that if you die, when you return you start clean and fresh.

Requirements
While Hardcore 2 entry is open to all new players, breaking any of the above rules or the standard AddstarMC rules, will see you get a Warning and potentially a Ban. A warning will then preclude you from Hardcore for 30 days.
For Hardcore 1 we still have a whitelist where you need to meet the minimum requirement. 16hrs ontime, Played on the server for at least 3 different days, and no warnings in the last 30 days.

What’s new in HC 1.16?
The End. Its been a long time coming, with many asking over the years. But with a bit of whip cracking, add5tar has made the changes to be able to implement The End. The dragon awaits. The void awaits. ArtfulMelody??
Nether Scaling. In the past its been a 1:1 ratio with the overworld. We’ve managed to make some tweaks to be able to enable the vanilla style 1:8 overworld/nether. But this also means the nether is smaller to allow a nether portal to return you back into the overworld, inside the border.
Hardcore Hearts. Purely cosmetic, but in HC you need HC hearts. Right??? :p
Rollback Improvements. There comes a time when you meet the end and all your hard work gets rolled back. We’ve made some changes to improve rollbacks. The idea of HC is when you return, you return to a fresh start….
1.16 Mobs and Biomes. The nether has never looked so pretty. Now having 4 new biomes and a range of new mobs, and some new blocks to decorate your builds.
Hardcore Death Notifications. Now you can see when and how many times someone dies in Hardcore on our Discord. Get ready for Khaos spam....

As we’ve done in the past, the Nether and The End will be reset monthly. This is still a manual process, and is always pending admin availability/time to do it.

Good luck, and may the dragon be with you.
