Welcome to Slimefun! Our newest addition to Survival and SkyGrid. Keep in mind, you dont have to use Slimefun to play in these worlds. You can continue on your merry way playing the vanilla way. But if you want an extra challenge with cool new blocks, keep reading for a quick tutorial to start your way to awesomeness.
What is Slimefun?
Slimefun is an extensive plugin designed to expand a players experience. This plugin adds over 200 new items and an assortment of multi-block structures. The items include a range of things magical and scientific, from an enchanted stick with knock back 5, to special boots that dont trample your crops when you walk on them, to so much more (way too much to list them all).
All the craft-able items are unlocked using normal minecraft experience (XP) levels.
How Do I Get Started?
If you are in game and need a refresher, there is a little demo area near Survival Spawn that gives a good run down on how Slimefun works and examples of how to build some machines (use /sfdemo).
The easiest way to get started with slime fun is to learn all of the “Basic Machines”. But to get started on your adventure, you'll need a "Guide Book" - Use /sf guide) to get an interactive book to carry around.
Experience (XP)
Great! Now we can get started! In order to "research" new things (so you can use them) within Slimefun you need a source of experience. Personally I like the old fashioned method of mining quartz and other precious ores. That way I get the block and earn experience. Alternatively there are many XP farms that you could build/create.
Build Your First Machine!
Anyways... Once you've gained some XP, you can now start learning! Open your book and click the “Basic Machines” tab and learn the first one “Enhanced Crafting Table.” This is a machine that you place within the Minecraft world. It tell’s you how to build it (crafting table on top of a dispenser). You will use this machine to make new parts and materials to build more machines. tool, weapons, and food!
What next?
Now learn some more machines and start branching off into new topics within Slimefun! Items, Tools, Resources, Magical Armor, Food, Etc! One thing I suggest is crafting a set of slime armor! Its under “Magical Armor” on the second page of the book or if you using inventory mode of the guide, The golden chest plate on the first row Items 5-8. Remember to start small and then get bigger, don’t overwhelm yourself!

Congratulations! Now your ready to start playing slimefun, A modded minecraft without the need of mods! You can explore the vast lands and meet new people, create machines, items, armor sets, and become the best you can! We hope you have fun!
