Every now and then Mojang release another version of Minecraft. But AddstarMC needs to get everything sorted in the background first.
At the same time sometimes your Minecraft Client downloads the latest release before we are ready.
So if you are unsure how to change the version of Minecraft that you need/want to play, below is a quick guide on the how too. (Thanks to Flaxen for creating a post a long time ago on how to do this. But that was in the old days using the old launcher.)
Step 1: Open your Minecraft Launcher and click on the Launch Options button at the top.
Step 2: Click on the + Add new symbol at the top left.
Step 3: In the Name field, type in any name. I generally put in the Version number that I intend to use.
Step 4: In the Version field, Select the Version that you want to use.
Step 5: Press Save at the bottom of the page. You will now see the added version in the list.
Step 6: Select the News button at the top.
Step 7: Next to the PLAY button, select the arrow symbol to see the different profiles available. Select the Version you just created, and press PLAY.
