Well. Shale I start with, please be careful with the wording your use. And I see that you have a LOT of experience in hardcore.

There haven't been any thumbs up or thumbs down on the idea of resetting hardcore, so I'd assume things will stay as normal. No need to get excited about the idea.. But all in all, thanks for the feedback.

My personal opinion is that we reset both HC worlds and regenerate 1.11 worlds :) But this is something we're still discussing and when things settle down a bit, we'll look into it.

I am a big Proponent for semi-regular resets, so you'll never get pushback from me as it relates to resets. I do think its a good practice though to give some heads up to people. I did a double take this morning when I logged to /hub, pulled up the compass, went to skyblock and it said "No Island".

I see the old skyblock is still around for now, but what is the schedule for taking down the old skyblock?

Don't misunderstand my post... I applaud the reset. =) Change is Good!

Yes, the new skyblock was quite rushed. It almost feels like it was made and released on the one day! But since there were some major issues with the old skyblock in 1.11, we decided to put our money on bringing out this idea of a fresh start. The fresh start allows us to near effortlessly jump to the latest skyblock version (hence all the new stuff), and it also wipes away any annoying bugs from 1.11 in the old skyblock. So yeah, normally we would give people a 'heads up' on such significant changes like this reset, but given the circumstances, I doubt we'd have changed our minds even if the majority of people didn't want a reset.

Old skyblock will hang around for about another month, which will probably vary depending on how much it's used. All new island creations have been disabled on the old skyblock, so you can't restart or create a new island. And there are no transferring of items between worlds (unlike previous survival resets). This is a hard-scrubbed clean slate, heck there's even a unique economy which is something we've never done before.

Shout out to those who worked through the hours yesterday to bring the new skyblock alight so quickly. :thumb: :d
