just my 2 cents but i think we should make it so The End DOESN'T reset automatically anymore. With 1.9, the ender dragon can be resummoned.
Don't worry, when it comes time for us to work on The End, we will take this into consideration. Just be aware we have many aspects to consider and can't always make everyone happy. Sometimes decisions also need to be made with regards to the server performance/resources.
But regardless, it's likely that to begin with, we will launch the upgraded survival server without The End and will work on putting our own spin on how The End works after everything is working well (as we do with most things).
Hey so I'm sure you guys get this a lot, but Would you like some help testing it and working out the kinks?
I'd be glad to help out in my free time ;D;

My question with the end is, im assuming its gonna take a while to fix it up, will the /shop sell the enchantment book 'mending' and the elytra? Because they can only be found in the end, i would find it a bit displeasing to wait a long time to fully experience the items 1.9 has to offer to survival. I wouldnt even care if u charged 100k dollars in game for the elytra/mending enchant. As long as we have some way of obtaining it. Im just curious on what your thoughts would be regarding these items?
My question is will parkour still stay the "same"? Because in 1.9, they change how single glass pane and iron bar blocks are. I hope there is some way you can keep glass pane and iron bar blocks the same. Otherwise parkour has just got a whole lot harder. Also thank you to all the people that keep this server a happy and fun place to play Minecraft on and to all the work you have put into this server.

Id imagine those items would be more likely added to the triple vote reward pool / unscramble rewards pool. Just to keep the rarity that is intended with those items

You can get mending in overworld by finding them in dungeon (spawner) chests, minecart chests in abandoned mineshafts, jungle temple chests. You can also get them via fishing or trading with villagers (must be a post -1.9 villager). You can also get frostwalker 1 or 2 via fishing/trading. The shop will not sell the "book" but the /enchantshop should include the new enchants but definitely do NOT expect them to be the usual $1k because they will be significantly more.
In my opinion, due to the OP benefits of the Mending enchant and the fact that, like silk touch, there is only one possible "level", I think the mending enchant should NOT be added to /enchantshop ever. The fact that a single enchant can make it so you never need to create new tools, do new enchants, or ever repair or replace your armor, tool, or weapon is almost game breaking. Put it this way, I go thru approximately 50 diamonds per day repairing just my pick (a normal day of playing/mining/digging). Now take 50 per day times 30 days, that means the mending enchant is able to save me 1500 diamonds per month or up to 18,250 diamonds per year. Now, imagine the total amount of diamonds I would save by no longer repairing each of the 5 pieces of armor (helmet, chest, elytra, legs, boots), 1-2 axes, 1-2 picks, 1-2 shovels, and a diamond hoe (why not have a diamond hoe.. there will be nothing else to use them for)... and the total would be mind boggling.
Now, granted, I play a bit more than most people, but still... that is such a huge decrease in the usage of diamonds it is likely to drastically change the value of diamonds on the server. I wouldn't be surprised to see diamond block become either a block you just sell to /shop for cash or use as building blocks just like Lapis/Redstone has become.
Ahh, i didn't realise mending was available in the overworld, i thought it was only available in the end. Thanks for that clarification, and as i said, i didnt expect mending enchant to be cheap, as i said, id rather it but 100k to purchase, so its still relatively hard to buy.
