This is fantabulous. A great work in progress behind the scenes with real results. As always, Addstar stuff are the best of the best. It how this server happens to be the best of the best. Now it soon going to become the superlative server run by par excellence stuff.

One thing though, I only hope the survival world won't become too "mimi"...
Also, how will this affect the transition from 1.7.2 to 1.8? Will we still be-able to move our stuff over to the new map or start all over?

There will be no map reset for 1.8. When we know more about that, we will make a separate announcement.

Ahah,I'm so happy for everyone.Congratz admins.I Got a question.So i know what the survival world isn't gonna reset but is there still gonna be the survival world and a new one or just the old one?

I'm fairly certain that the plan is to stick with the current survival map, but augment it with some of the new blocks.

There will just be the current survival world (not a second one as well as that will make a LOT more lag running both - something we wish to reduce).

The 1.8 new blocks/temple generation I'll leave for the admins at a later date...

This is going to be AWESOME!!! I have a suggestion. From the single server we can separate it into a hub, survival, skyblock, creative, market, true hardcore and minigames. Hopefully it won't be too much work. Thank you all the admins and mods for creating a wonderful server. Thank you to the donators for keeping the server going and thank you to the community for being so friendly to everyone!

This is exactly what we are doing :)

To quote my post:
"We will be separating many of our worlds into their own servers which will be accessed via a hub server"

Ok, a few questions...

1. This will effect mob caps and spawn rate? Will there be a limit, or will it be set to default on each individual server?

2. Will this change how the nether reset works. I Understand why it (and the end) gets reset. But is there a possibility that there
can be a second nether (and end) for more permanent structures? (Yes, Ender farm is what I'm getting at... *cough*)

3. Could this possibly lead to the survival world being expanded?
-Not that's its a real issue, been adventuring and have found tons of unexplored land. Might start up a Privately owned /wild TPA business.

4. Will this affect Addstar's overall population limit?

I think that's it for now.

1. Wont really know about mob caps / spawn rates until we do the change and monitor the difference. The main issue the server has at the moment IS everything to do with mobs/animals spawning and moving etc.. Im mainly looking forward to removing survival from the games so games aren't effected ;) But yes we will reevaluate everything as its done to see if we can increase limits etc..

2. We already have a few survival server ideas we have been throwing around. But same as above wont happen for a while until we understand how much we can spare for it. However i dont think we will have a second end (Dont think its even possible) But still wont know until after

3. Survival world wont ever be expanded. Still way to much land that isnt even found yet. We may discuss better ways of distributing players possibly to help cover everywhere.

4. The limits i would say yes would be vastly increased. Would this mean more people on? haha not sure
